Whether you deal direct to the public, wholesale to the trade or provide products or services to government departments you must focus on providing quality service in order to retain your clients. To establish a business that provides great service that keeps your customers coming back requires attention to a number of vital factors. You must first understand what good service is and how to provide it but also it is important to know how to react when things go wrong. The best laid plans can turn sour if something goes wrong and you or your staff do not react in the right manner or offer appropriate solutions. In this module we will show you how to create good service and how to turn complaints into a positive experience. We will also show you how to keep your staff motivated by introducing a rewards scheme and possibly even a profit share. ContactKarento sign up for this course. Marketing your business using the internet Marketing your business using the internet is not just about having a web site. There are a number of ways you can utilise this powerful medium. Many businesses (probably most) have a web site but few make full use of the powerful marketing medium that the internet can provide. In fact - many business owners simply set up a web site and then wonder why customers don't flock to their doors. This module will give you an insight into what you can do to ensure that your web site gets noticed and what you can do to turn visitors into customers. ContactKarento sign up for this course.

Your Business Journey
Developing and running a business is like being on a journey. Like any journey it will include ups and downs, highs and lows, achievements and disappointments. There will be times when it will be necessary to move faster and times when there will be a need to slow down, maybe even to change course or to take time to reflect on what is going on around.
Most journeys require a final destination or goal and some sort of plan to help us get there - adequate preparation often saves time and money later on. We need to plan carefully who is going to accompany us on our journey and identify the equipment and materials we will need to assist us. We need to travel in robust, multi-terrain vehicles. Our business journey is no different. This pair of workshops will look first at the fuel and supplies we need on board to give our journey the chance of continuing success and then we will look at ways of charting our journey to ensure it goes in the direction we want and helps us reach our desired destination See the Upper Hutt Calendar for details |
