Exporting Services
In the U.S. services exports have more than doubled over the last ten years. New Zealand’s services exports have been growing steadily. The sectors that have particularly high export potential include: Construction, Design and Engineering; Legal and accounting services; Education services & Management consulting services.
However there are important features that differentiate exporting services from exporting products. Services are less tangible than products, providing little in terms of samples that can be seen by the potential foreign buyer. This makes communicating a service offer much more difficult than communicating a product offer.
SO… take advantage of this opportunity
BUT … make sure your strategies are sharp.
And that's what this series of two 3-hour workshops is aimed at - sharpening up those skills before we leave our cozy shores to go and compete with the rest of the world.
To assist in your planning you will hear first hand from existing service exporters about the trials and tribulations of venturing afield. These “lessons from the trenches” are all about real situations, good and bad, by people who have been there and done that.
You will also learn the “best practice” thinking about:
· Preparing for exporting · Selecting the correct market · ‘When in Rome’ – understanding our new market · Planning your marketing · Overcoming cash fatigue
If you thinking about exporting your services then don’t miss these workshops.

Branding beyond your logo…
In the good old days branding was generally regarded as a mark on any product or package identifying it from competition. Sounds simple enough…unfortunately we don’t live in a simple world and marketing has got more competitive than ever!
Today, good branding must go beyond the visual identity alone to tell the “story” of your brand…to leave your customers with the emotional and physical characteristics of a product or service that make them stand out from the crowd.
In this workshop we’ll cover:
· The definition of a brand
· Creating brand image
· Company versus product branding
· Identifying competitive advantage
· Brand strategy development
And all on a small budget!
