Jumpstart Your Service Business

Running a successful service business is different - you don’t just have a simple product to sell. So much more is intangible and the rules for success are different. Building a successful service business requires understanding of the critical success drivers for that type of businesses, how to apply them correctly and what the best options are for getting on the fast path to success.
The purpose of this session is to give business owners a clear road map for success that:

Planning On the Run

There are a number of factors driving business success but the quality of the action you take is probably the most critical. High quality action, however, requires focus. Unfortunately, most business owners lose their focus too easily.
The result is too much time spent doing the unimportant, frustration and an overall lack of achievement.

The purpose of this session is to teach business owners a ‘living’ planning system for business achievement that:
 
  1. Requires little time and takes the frustration out of goal achievement;
  2. Provides the least amount of structure you need to stay on the right track;
  3. Ensures that you focus on what is most important for your success;
  4. Keeps you on track on a month-by-month and week-by-week basis.
  5. Builds a bridge from your vision to meaningful action on a day-to-day basis;
  6. Gives you a sense of achievement and makes even your biggest business goals seem more achievable.

The Lazy Entrepreneur

Most business owners are on the slow path to success. Not because they lack talent or a good business but because they consistently apply slow path strategies to success in their businesses. The result is that they work way too hard doing too many of the wrong things. Ultimate success is still possible but it takes a lot longer and you have to work a lot harder than you need.

Lazy entrepreneurs think more and do less. They are constantly on the look out for “fast path strategies” where a little effort on their part produces great results (as opposed to a lot of effort producing little result). Fast path strategies are strategies that maximise the opportunity for leverage. While most business owners understand the concept of leverage and a lot even talk about it, few put it into practice successfully.


Business leverage involves using something as a lever (people, technology, processes.) in a way that magnifies success for a relatively small effort. In this two-part workshop series you will learn:

Part one:

1.       How the concept of leverage works

2.       The mindset behind successful leverage

3.       How to identify the opportunities for leverage within your business

 
Part two:

1.       How to create and implement a leverage improvement plan

2.       How to apply leverage into your business in a simple and practical manner

3.       How to get lazier and lazier for better and better results.
