Practical 101

A hands-on, interactive workshop that reinforces learning by turning Internet marketing theory into practice. The first half of the workshop is dedicated to introducing the essential strategies for successful marketing on the Internet. After the break, participants are first split into groups. Each group is required to invent a brand new business idea then ”Internet-enable“ their initiative by formulaically applying each of the key essential strategies. The initiatives are then scored and compared according to a pre-defined rating criteria.

Optimisation Workshop
This 3 hour intensive workshop provides a hands-on and in-depth look at how to use pay-per-click advertising to generate a constant stream of targeted traffic to your website. The session will focus on the use of Google AdWords, but is applicable to all forms of pay-per-click advertising. The workshop is designed as an accelerated learning programme to ensure attendees come away with key understandings of pay-per-click advertising principles and a range of best practise optimisation techniques that can be easily implemented, and with quick effect. It is ideally suited to those who are already using pay-per-click advertising or who are contemplating using it in the near future. 

Workshop content includes:
  • Pay-per-click overview (the fundamental understandings you need in order to create truly effective campaigns)
  • Keyword optimisation strategies (how to use keyword research to compete effectively and generate a healthy level of targeted traffic)
  • Ad text optimisation strategies (how to construct your ad to ensure that it stands out from others and maximises your return)
  • Landing page optimisation strategies (how to construct your web pages to ensure that you turn leads into conversions)
  • Account structure optimisation strategies (how to set-up campaign and ad group structures to provide maximum performance and relevancy)
  • Activity monitoring strategies (how to track campaign effectiveness for leads and conversions)
