Summer’s here! Along with your togs and towel, there’s one other thing you might want to pack for your summer break: your business plan. It may sound like a strange combination, but often the best place to review your business is in the shade of a beach umbrella. Relaxed and away from usual routines, it’s possible to step back from your business and assess your company’s performance both critically and strategically. Plan for your business’s growth through 2006 and beyond.

Learn while you earn
Do you need assistance with a specific issue and the last workshop on this subject is over for the year? Are you so busy that you can’t make it to a workshop yet you still need help with your business issues? Have you attended a workshop and still need more advice? The Open Polytechnic’s award-winning* business courses are proven to help you succeed. There is no need to shut up shop as you can learn by distance anywhere in New Zealand, whenever it suits you, including over the Christmas period.
There are two ways to take advantage of these courses: either through distance study, which is fully funded under the Enterprise Training Programme if you are registered with The Biz Centre, Business Hutt Valley, Upper Hutt Chamber of Commerce, Go Wairarapa or Business Porirua; or online training, which is subject to a charge.
