THE BIZ CENTRE |
Part Two Begins...
And while it may just be the middle to you it is the end of one financial year and the beginning of another fun-filled calendar of learning and inspiration. And on that note...
The Robin Hood Series
So here's the theory. In the old days, as the story goes, Robin would rob from the rich and give to the poor. The Biz Centre is here to help continue the tradition (sans tights). The Robin Hood lecture is all about taking from the knowledge-rich and giving to the knowledge-poor. While we don't want to insult your standard of knowledge affluence the reality is that a major advantage of big business is their access to knowledge resources such as research and development. But there are ways around this! The Biz Centre, as part of our Eat The Big Fish Programme, have come up with the Robin Hood Series of lectures designed to put you in direct contact with the source of new and redefining business products and services. This means you can make decisions based on leading edge knowledge - enabling you to leapfrog up the learning curve. The series will kick-off in July with global giant Vodafone. This will be followed by awesome sessions with key players in the fields of television, banking, entrepreneurial thinking and more! We will be sending a special newsletter with further details shortly.

Business Journey
Developing and running a business is like being on a journey. Like any journey it will include ups and downs, highs and lows, achievements and disappointments. There will be times when it will be necessary to move faster and times when there will be a need to slow down, maybe even to change course or to take time to reflect on what is going on around. Most journeys require a final destination or goal and some sort of plan to help us get there - adequate preparation often saves time and money later on. We need to plan carefully who is going to accompany us on our journey and identify the equipment and materials we will need to assist us. We need to travel in robust, multi-terrain vehicles. Our business journey is no different. This pair of workshops will look first at the fuel and supplies we need on board to give our journey the chance of continuing success and then we will look at ways of charting our journey to ensure it goes in the direction we want and helps us reach our desired destination Contact Renee to register. |
